MANAGING DIRECTOR, David L. Hayman BVSc.(TOP)

Dr Hayman is a veterinarian that has built a 28 year career specializing in cattle breeding and reproductive technologies. He first worked as an AB technician for LIC, 2 seasons in 1975 & 1976 at Stirling/Kaitangata (Balclutha)

 He worked in the Embryo Transfer and AB industry overseas; Australia 3 years and USA 5 years. For 10 yrs from 1991-2001, David was a founding partner in Animal Breeding Services mainly responsible for cattle embryo transfer services, but also working in sheep, deer and goat AI & ET. From early 2001 to Sept last year David bred and purchased the bulls for the Holstein-Friesian and Crossbred sire proving teams at LIC.

CUSTOMER SERVICES CO-ORDINATOR, Lin Buckley(TOP)

Lin is the wife and business partner of our Chairman, Kevin Buckley. Bucklin Holsteins has made a big contribution to the industry through top cow families and proven sires. Kevin and Lin are now involved in multiple dairy farming ventures, with 800 cows on the home farm,   300 cows at Huntly, and a stake in an equity partnership milking 800 cows at Mangakino.

 Lin is responsible for receipting and co-ordinating all orders, including despatch of the semen according to your instructions. You will find Lin has a good understanding of all issues around cattle breeding and mating arrangements and is very motivated to provide top service to our clients.

Three Bucklin bred bulls have achieved widespread use as Proven Sires; Francisco, Hobo & Canute. Founding partner in Liberty Genetics.

Mark Townshend -Director

Respected Jersey breeder, Crescent Genetics, Director in NZDG (from 2001) and then Fonterra. With wife Dianne, owns interests in 10 Dairy farms farming a total of 6,000 cows. Other farming interests in USA, Chile and Russia. Crescent genetics has had over 170 bulls proven by the AB industry in NZ including Senator Sam, Royal Charles & Fjord Shadow. Stanza and Stimulat are current popular proven Crescent sires. Also a Founding partner.

John Holwerda -Director

John & Melinka had multiple dairy herds in the Reporoa area, and exited the dairy industry in 2001. Now an orchardist & property developer with a variety of business interests. Also a Founding partner in Liberty Genetics.
